Dear Diary Friday...

Let me just start out with saying that PRINCE IS COMING IN CONCERT ON SEPTEMBER 7 TO THE USANA THEATRE AND IF I DON'T GET TO GO I WILL SULK FOR A YEAR!

That being said, the other exciting news is that the walk through went better than Dylan and I expected and we are MORE in love with the house....if that is possible. The bathroom that we were going to take the wallpaper down, well, we aren't taking the wallpaper down because now we both LOVE IT. The carpets are going to be cleaned, but they are not even bad. I want to do some cleaning, but other than that, I think we are ready to start buying and moving!! The signing is still next Thursday, but Friday we will have keys and be giving "tours" of the house. Needless to say, we are more excited than ever to have this home. The Marianis ( the current owners ) took us through every aspect of the house, taught us everything ABOUT the house and we were surprised with how many "extras" they have added.

The other big news....I am so sick today I can hardly stand myself. My stomach is turning, I have a headache, and I feel just over all crappy! We have the flu going around work again and I fear that I might have picked it up.....JUST IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND!!!!

Dear Diary Thursday....

Okay, I sat in traffic for 1.4 hours yesterday between State Street and 4800 West....it was fun....I love rush hour traffic. After I left work yesterday, I went and got my nails done and then headed home, to be met at the door by my Daddy who needed me to run him to the dealership to pick up the car. Of course, we were in rush hour traffic, so that was why I had the long wait. Good thing I am a patient person. Unfortunately the person in front of ME was not patient and were flailing around in their vehicle every time we had to stop. I found it immensely irritating until I realized that they were BEHIND my Daddy who was probably watching them in his rear view mirror and getting nervous. So, when we had to stop again, the person started up and I layed on my horn, got their attention, and yelled out the window "Would you fucking relax!" to which they did! I know, I know, lucky I did not get shot....

It's Thursday and I honestly do not have ANY motivation for work today. I don't want to be here...I want to be outside playing in the sunshine.

Oh, and the neighbors will be COMPLETELY moved out of the house by Monday. Dylan and I are still not signing until next Thursday. But the nice part is that they are spending this weekend CLEANING THE HOUSE for us! How lucky did Dylan and I get to find such a wonderful house owned by such terrific neighbors. I am really, really going to miss those neighbors but I am so honored that they are giving Dylan and I this opportunity to start our lives in their beautiful home.

Dear Diary Tuesday...

Oh work was fun again today! I had two people show up late, my boss did not make it in until 2:00 because she has a very sick kid, AND because I have been acting as "supervisor" again, we met the stats yesterday AND today so the Pit Boss is now wondering how I am doing it. I keep telling her it is all about magic and I do it with smoke and mirrors, but she doesn't believe me. The real reason, is that I told the whole team that the Pit Boss was on a "rampage" and we if don't start getting stats down they probably will start doing some "cleaning house" and that seemed to motivate them... don't know why....!

Gym was not as productive today as yesterday. I did 20 minutes on the cross ramp elliptical but only managed to eek out 150 ab crunches because my stomach was so sore from yesterday. But then I went over to Kmart and walked around for another 30 minutes....does that count as working out???

Dylan and I discussed our weekend together last night and figured out that this is the last weekend that we will NOT be home owners. What a strange feeling. So we have decided that this weekend of just "us" we are going to have a whole bunch of fun....probably the Aviary or Park City.

Dear Diary Monday...

Let me just start out by saying how very, very proud I am of Dee and how much I love her. Oh and did I mention how proud of her I am?

Oh dear...today was a bad day at work. I thought Friday was insanely busy. Today made last Friday look like a day at the library.

I went into work today with a great attitude that I was going to get a lot done. That was up until two out of the three people that come in to man the phones at 7:00 am called in. So, being who I am, I jumped on the phones until my 7:30 and 8:00 am people showed up....late. Now, the other two researchers did their thing, worked their work, but not ONCE did they bother to get on the phone. Then the PitBoss showed up, came over to chat with me about how Friday fell apart, why everyone called in sick, why so many people were gone, and how we "can't let this continue" with how bad or ASA time is. Okay, that's fine and I totally agree with her but again....TWO OTHER RESEARCHERS. Oh, and let me mention that last Friday I almost took 50 calls, the other two took ZERO. Okay, back to the story. So my boss gets there, also VERY late because of a sick child. She and I discuss some things I have been working on. She is then called into the Pit Bosses office, comes out, not a happy look on her face. Okay, time for lunch. Both of the other researchers get up and leave....not a big deal. I take calls, do my work, take more calls. They come back, I am still taking calls. One researcher does manage to get on the phones for a few moment, and then HEARS that I am taking calls, so SHE LOGS OFF! Okay, I was done. I went and got my supervisor, told her we needed to run to the 7-11, she agreed ( which I should have noticed was a bit odd ) and I vented and vented and vented. And what did I get back, you may ask? "Lorene, I have been watching all day, the stats from Friday speak volumes...and Pit Boss is VERY aware of the situation as well and something is being done about it as we speak." Not sure EXACTLY what was done, but when I got back, the other two researchers look like they had had both of their eye teeth pulled out by the roots. However, and this is the kicker, THEY STILL WERE NOT ON THE PHONES! They had been punished (I am assuming) and were SULKING! Tomorrow should be fun.......

And did I mention I miss my Toni.....

Dear Diary Sunday...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I keep forgetting to tell you that Toni called me on Friday and her and Rob made it to Oregon and Seattle safely and are having a great time!!!

Last night ended on a horrible note. I had the worst migraine that I have ever had in my whole life, seriously. It was a pain over the left eye that radiated to the back of my head and it was a sharp pain...not a dull throb, but like somebody continuously hitting me with a bat with nails in it. It took about an hour of being in my dark room with an icebag on my head and three pain killers for it to go...or so I thought. I got up and called Dylan and in the middle of our conversation it came back. I had to let Dylan go abruptly and put the ice bag on my head again and just crawl into bed and not move until it finally went away. I awoke this morning with a dull throbbing, like a really bad hangover, but it has eventually gone away. I hate it when I get a migraine like that and it was all of my fault! I felt it coming on when I was working in the yard AND I did not pay attention to the weather report that said we were going to get showers. If I had watched the news, I would have taken something BEFORE the storm moved in....stupid me!

Today has been good so far. We have had some of my siblings over, have relaxed watching tv and I just took the folks out to dinner. I believe that I have more siblings on their way over. All in all, I think my Daddy has had a wonderful day. The only downside is it looks like my Mama is either coming down with a cold or a sinus infection....I should know more by tomorrow.

Keep your fingers crossed.....our walk through is this Thursday and the signing is on July 1st....then the fun should begin!!!!
