Dear Diary Friday,
WOOHOO TO CALIFORNIA FOR BEING SO STRONG AS TO LEGALIZE GAY MARRIAGE!!! WOOHOOO!!!!
The viewing for Chet's Father last night was very, very nice. It was great to meet so many of their family members, and as always, I just love Chet's Mom, Enid....she is an amazing woman....love, love, LOVE HER!
Today, I will be leaving work at about 9:45 am and heading home to pick up Dylan and go to the funeral. Oh, and change my shoes, at least one of them since I put on two black shoes this morning that DID NOT MATCH! That is what happens when your husband comes home early and totally disrupts your morning schedule.
After that, it is going to be a toss up on whether we come home and do yardwork or I come home and take my Mom grocery shopping and we do yardwork tomorrow morning. Either way, makes no difference to me because I am just looking forward to a wonderful, wonderful weekend with my husband celebrating his birthday!!
Oh, the bad voices....
W H A T E V E R ! ! !

Dear Diary Thursday...
Dylan's birthday was fun, but pretty low key.
I got home late...again....and we headed over to my Mom's for a little while. Then we went to the Wing Coop, grabbed dinner, came home and relaxed in front of the t.v., caught up on some TiVo and relaxed and date. Not very exciting, I know, but it was nice. We are going to spend this weekend celebrating his birthday....going shopping, maybe looking at cars, going to a movie...just whatever he wants to do to have fun.
And can you believe this weekend it will be int he 80's and 90's???!

Dear Diary Tuesday...
Yesterday was strange. I got a "promotion", which I don't know if you can really call getting a new title, a lot more work, your current work load not reduced, and no pay raise a "promotion", but that is what I got. I am "piloting" a new team and I am the first member of the team. It will allow me a little more time off the phones and I will not be held to phone stats, but that is about it. Oh, and I now have the three LARGEST clients of my employer. Yay for me?
Then I went home and got to play Plumber for the evening. The toilet downstairs has been allowing water to drain from the flapper in the tank. What that means is you would flush the toilet, the tank would fill up, and then within a couple of hours it would drain out leaving the tank totally empty, which makes flushing it the next time a bit difficult. So, I got to go over to Lowes and install a new flapper....which thrilled me to no end since I was planning on coming home, eating dinner, relaxing and then maybe, JUST MAYBE, going to sleep relatively early and try to actually get SOME sleep.
Oh, and I also got to go over to my neighbors house and tell him about the two creepy instances that have happened this week concerning his house. The first was some dude standing across the street from his house, in a thunderstorm, talking on the phone. When he noticed my Mom watching him, he walked across the street to my neighbors house and just stood in their drive way talking on the phone. Then yesterday we had a mystery van parked outside my folks house and my Mom finally called the cops who talked with the dude. The dude stated he was just sleeping and he would walk down to a friends house in the neighborhood and then come back later to get his van. Interesting enough, he got out of the van, walked over to my NEIGHBORS DRIVE WAY and sat talking on his cell phone. He finally did leave and the van did disappear within an hour....but kinda strange. So now we are on alert, watching every single car that comes into our neighborhood like they are bringing bombs with them. Yeah, we are paranoid, we admit it.

Dear Diary Monday...part two...
My love, prayers, and heart-felt condolences to Chet and his family on their loss. Know that Dylan and I have you always in our hearts and love you very, very much.
Dear Diary Monday...
Yep, we made it back. There is way to much to tell but I can say that I really, really enjoyed my very first plane ride and Maui is unbelievably beautiful. Dylan and I are thinking about looking into getting a timeshare there. We also plan on going back during the time that you can watch whales!
The weekend was not so good. Our poor baby Spooky decided to do his bi-annual getting sick but I think we caught it pretty early. He is on his usual antibiotics and a new eye medicine that has just come out for animal use. He is miserable, but not to his extreme that he usually does. Unfortunatley, do to his illness, we missed a BBQ that I was looking forward to. Other than that, we did nothing other than stay close to home.
Sunday was Mother's Day so I did manage to make it over to my Mom's for a little while, we then mowed the lawn, did some tilling, and just pretty much got it ready to get plants in the ground and then relaxed.
