Dear Diary Thursday...

Mood....high on life.

I managed to take the remainder of the week off!! YEAH!!

Yesterday I delivered wreaths to the cemeteries with my daddy, got my fingernails done, cleaned up some of the house, made an awesome dinner, made a HUGE dent in our wrapping, and then relaxed with Dylan last night. All in all, a wonderfully productive day.

Today I am going to do my Christmas Dinner shopping, finish my wrapping, and then see what else we can accomplish. Dylan is getting his hair cut right now and I am doing some laundry. Soon, very soon I promise, I will be getting into the shower so I can wake the hell up!!!!

I know I am going to be insanely busy the next couple of days, so know that I am wishing and blessing a very Merry Christmas to all of you and my hope for each of you is that this new year brings many blessings, much success, great love, joy, and happiness to each and every one of you. Blessed be.

OH and great news as well! Michelle called me and they have a new addition to the family..... a 12 week old brindle Boxer (SSSHHHH.....it is still a secret to the kids!). It looks like her name will probably be Zoey, but we will see.

Dear Diary Tuesday...

Mood....wonderful still.

Last night I had a physical meltdown. I was asleep by 6:00 pm and I did not wake until 3:30 this morning. My body is still fighting coming down with an illness and I finally just gave into the exhaustion. I really could have used last night to work on wrapping, but I figure if my body is telling me something, I need to listen. Needless to say, I was not a lot of fun for Dylan to hang out with.

"Joe Cool McDuff" aka "Murphy" is now McDuff officially. He was previously called that by his foster parents, Dylan's folks really like it, I keep accidentally calling him that anyways, so we decided just to keep it. And have I said lately how adorable he is???? He does love Dylan a great deal. He is a cross, in my opinion, of the late Bingo and my late Tails. THAT is why I love him so much.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be off the rest of the week. I would like to spend tomorrow morning delivering wreaths with my Daddy to the cemeteries and then spending the rest of the day wrapping. Thursday I could finish up my wrapping and start doing some things around the house. Friday Dylan and I are shopping in the morning, cleaning the rest of the day, then going to his folks house for our annual Christmas Eve get together. And then we all know what the hell is happening on Saturday right????

Dear Diary Monday...

Mood....wonderful.

The weekend was wonderful!

Friday night we went to Jer and Michelle's for good friends, good food, and great atmosphere. Again, Michelle's home is just so beautiful with how she decorates and accents. The food was exceptional and Dylan and I had a great time relaxing with old and new friends. Highlights of the food was the homemade chile verde by Toni, "Chet's Salad" from Shane, and of course, Jeremy's pina colada and Michelle's Jell-o shooters. Fortunately for us all, I stayed away from the shooters and the pina colada.

Saturday Dylan and I finished up our Christmas shopping. Unfortunately for Dylan, I was dragging quite a bit because I am trying hard to fight off this cold, so he had to take me back home fairly early so I could nap. After getting my second wind, we went out again to finish everything up that we needed. I can now say happily that the "shopping" part of Christmas is finished and now I just need to wrap.

Sunday I went shopping with the folks and then I started the wrapping part of Christmas, along with making a big pot of potato, ham, corn chowder. My sister stopped by with a plate of cookies, and then my hill-billy cousins came down to my folks house and came over for a few moments to see my new home. All in all, it was a pretty relaxing Sunday, other than trying to continuously fight off this cold. I went to bed pretty early with a sore throat and I hoped I would wake up with it gone.....not a chance.

This week is going to be hectic but wonderful. I have the ham and turkey in the freezer for Christmas dinner and really all I need to do is clean, cook, and wrap. I am HOPING I will be able to take some time off this week to get all that done, but we will see.
