Dear Diary Thursday...

Let me start with this -

THANK GOD TODAY IS MY LAST DAY AT WORK! Okay, I feel a bit better now...

Yesterday was a long, long day. My big client was in, I was restless, nervous, and sick by the time I was finally called into meet "him" and after I had taken a brief look at him, I actually had to drop my head down to stifle the giggle that came up.....I was talking to a living, walking, breathing slug with big glasses and a horrible speech impediment. I will no longer be anything but amused by this man. And to say that he has been "humbled" since he shot me off the most rotten e-mail ever written, would not be an exaggeration. I can't go into a lot of details about this client and what I know has been going on the last couple of weeks, but I feel so much better about my job, my current position in the company, and things for the future. Plus, I got to a walking slug.....

Anyways, I was up at 12:30 this morning fixing my furnance...again....but it is working fine. Dylan is going out today and buying me a new furnace filter since I can't seem to remember to pick that up in all of my shopping frenzy. With the amount of cats and laundry we do, our furnace filter is totally compromised, which does not allow air into the furnace to light the pilot light. So, at midnight, the house was freezing!!! And a freezing house makes for a whiny and crying puppy....who cried and whined for about an hour after that....and then I got up an hour later to come into work......yeah, I'm tired.

Big hugs and love out to Connie as she is totally SWAMPED with all of her Christmas cheer. It is great to hear that she is doing so much to help out Lindi and Lindi's co-workers and everybody else on the planet to bring them holiday happiness. Remember girl, take time for yourself. A breather and a nice glass of wine go a LOOOOONNNNNNGGG way this time of year.

Also, big love and hugs out to Rob and Toni. Wishing Rob the very best energy that the Universe has to provide that he gets this job at Costco and gets out of the hell company he is working for. It would be nice to see Rob working for a company that appreciates having such a quality and loyal employee as Rob is.

Dear Diary Wednesday....part deux....

Let me just throw this out there as one of my pet peeves....one that I have probably brought up before:

*You get what you put out there in a friendship. If you make no attempts to contact me and wait for me to contact you all the time, don't be shocked if the contacting stops. If I do e-mail you and all I get is a very brief note or no return, expect the same in return to your e-mails. Friendships are a 50/50 and I don't put more into it than that. If this sounds like it might apply to YOU, then it does. If you don't feel like it applies to you, then don't ask me who it does apply to.*

Okay, I think I feel better now....

Dear Diary Wednesday...

Oh, I am just so very close to being done Christmas shopping...YEAH! I took yesterday off of work and took both Mom and Daddy out and we got so much completed....and I love the feeling of being almost finished with this. Now all I have to do is start wrapping...and that is always a HUGE chore, especially since my den is now almost completely full of gifts. Yes, I went overboard again this year, but I don't even care. I have "the Spirit" so I am taking advantage of it and I will replenish my savings account after the holidays.

Last night Dylan and I went to my company Christmas party and it turned out not to be as bad as I thought it was going to be. We had a wonderful piece of salmon that was to die for and the company at our table was AWESOME! I have a great friend here at work that made SUCH a huge issue out of me not going that I was guilted into it BUT I am glad that I did have a chance to dress up, go out and hang out with some fun people, have great food, and spend an evening with my husband. Oh, and can I just say how weird it was introducing everyone to Dylan as "my husband".....yeah, was kinda creepy to me but I am getting more and more use to it.

Well, my BIG client is in today and I have already been in the bathroom dry heaving over worrying about it. I hate the owner of this client and can't believe I am going to have to actually MEET him. Cross your fingers for me that I don't burst into tears.....

Dear Diary Monday....

It was a wonderful and busy weekend. Saturday, I spent the entire day over at my folks house decorating for Christmas. I got their tree up and decorated, all of the festive things placed around the house, and the back fence has bows and garland to make it look spiffy. That evening, Dylan and I headed over to Shane and Chet's to spend the evening with everyone making quilts for the homeless shelter, which was a beautiful idea Shane came up with so that we could give a little bit back to others. We ended up making 5 quilts and I had a blast doing it.

Sunday, Dylan took the day off of work so we spent the entire day Christmas shopping and then came home for a couple of hours to play with the dogs and cats and then headed out to meet his folks for a belated birthday dinner with his Mom. It was again, wonderful company and we had great time.

This week is looking like it is going to be busy, but I am up for it! My Check Engine Soon light came on this morning, so I am taking my car down to have it looked at as soon as they open and then, keep your fingers crossed here, as long as everything goes okay I will pick it up this afternoon and go and get my fingernails done. I plan on then going home, getting dinner made, doing some laundry, and finish decorating our Christmas tree with Dylan. I then, and keep your fingers crossed here too, will have tomorrow off so I can get more Christmas shopping done with my folks. Wednesday we have a big client coming in to work so I will spend the day stressing about that. Thursday we have a potluck here for work and I have Friday off....again to spend Christmas shopping with Dylan. Dylan took this weekend off so that we could get our Christmas shopping done, get things wrapped, and just spend some quality time together....and I am really looking forward to it!!
