Dear Diary Monday...

Happy Labor Day!

Anyways, let me just start this story with "LET THE PURCHASING OF NEW DOGS BEGIN!" Yep, there is another addition to the family...this time it is with my folks. While we were at the Park City Outlet Mall today, a woman was selling Party Poodles....that means that they are two colors. They are nine weeks old and my mom picked out a white with one apricot ear and one apricot eye. If you new Timi, she looks almost exactly the same. My mom fell in love, my dad wrote the check, and 10 minutes later we were walking the outlets with the new baby...Muffin. She is absolutely adorable. The other members of my parent's house have taken her in with no question, no concern. She is AKC registered and the only thing we need to do is get the shots and get her fixed. NORMALLY I do not believe in purchasing ANY animal from a breeder, but my mom just fell in love with this little pooch. Needless to say, so did I.

The Outlet mall was a helluva lot of fun as well. We spent about four hours then and then Dylan came home and took a long, much needed nap. After that we grabbed dinner and now we are both doing some chores around the house....mine is the laundry. In a few moments I am going to get on the PJ's and go and read my book...."Xombie" which is very scary!!!

I am already looking forward to this weekend, even though it is already packed AND busy. The only day that Dylan and I don't have totally planned out is Saturday, but we have scheduled that as "our day". All I know is that we are going to be going to see SOME movie....not sure which one yet.

Dear Diary Sunday...

This has been the best long weekend in a VERY long time.

Friday I took the day off of work and Dylan and I went to Swiss Days with my folks. It was more fun than either one of us imagined! Then my Daddy decided to take the "long way" home...which was going through Provo Canyon and stopping and then driving incredibly slow thorugh Lehi. We finally got home at about 4:30. After that, we were exhausted and just stayed home.

Saturday we went to some of our usual haunts and then had an impromptu gathering at our house and had pizza and watched a Chris Rock stand up video. It was wonderful to have everyone over, to relax, and be surrounded by great friends and even greater energy.

Today Dylan and I got a dog....yes, a dog. Her name is Helga Joe and she is a Shar Pei/Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix and she is just gorgeous. She is brindle and very large, but has so far been absolutely wonderful with the cats. Unfortunately our little terror Aleister has not appreciated Helga's good nature as of yet and has picked a couple of fights....both times with Helga doing everything she could so NOT to get into the fight. I am sure Al will come around in time.

Tomorrow we are going to breakfast with the folks and then going to the outlet malls in Park City. Just another day of relaxing and enjoying each other's company.
