Dear Diary Thursday...

Yep, it is 5:08 pm and I still here at work....I am going for a 12 or 13 hour day!! Woo Hoo! I am actually working late tonight because I have no desire to come in on Saturday and I am doing the "hard stuff" so that the other CSC's do not need to work on it.

The Goddess is trying my patience. I know I shouldn't be so wicked with saying that, BUT SHE IS!!! I thought I had learned my lesson on "patience", but I guess I have not. And Toni could probably tell you, as well, that my patience has been tested ALMOST to the limit in the last couple of weeks....apparently I am not learning my lesson. I think the largest issues that I am still running into is when you are having a conversation with somebody and they REFUSE to see any other side of the issue other than their own. I was raised, and also have taught myself a lot about "walking a mile" in the other person's shoes. But I am coming across people that when you talk to them, they instantly go on the defensive and want to argue. I am not looking for arguments, I am not being bitchy when I talk to them, but they just refuse to see any other side than their own. Can people not just take a step back, shut their mouths, and realize that other people have VALID opinions and concerns. That other people have VALID emotions and feelings. It's odd.....I need to work on patience still, I guess my lesson has not been learned.

And I am sooooooooo ready for the weekend!!!!

Dear Diary Wednesday...

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!!!

Toni and Rob surprised me yesterday by meeting me for lunch at Cafe Rio AND Toni brought me the most absolutely adorable Shar-pei doggie that barks, a balloon, and the funniest card EVER!. I took her gift to her today....ran up to her work and dropped off some flowers, a frog that kisses you, and a card. Something to keep at her desk to remind her of me (the frog, not the flowers)! It was great getting to see her two days in a row. Noooooowwwww I get to go home and see why my hubby got me for Valentine's Day...hopefully it is just a card! We were gonna go to dinner, but he was not able to get to sleep until late today so I told him we would celebrate this weekend together and to go back to bed. Yep, I can be nice sometimes!

Okay, I just have had to laugh lately! The Goddess is giving me some lessons lately and I think I have learned them....especially since she gave me the same lesson now three times in two weeks! The lesson is patience. How did I learn more patience? By the fact that I have had three separate discussions with three different people about three different topics and each one has ended up the same. The other person was TOTALLY not willing to see anyone elses point of view but their own, wouldn't be willing to walk a mile in anyone's shoes, and would only listen to the sound of their own voice. Sometimes that just doesn't work. You need to listen to the other person, need to be willing to see their point of view (even if you don't like it) and realize that they too, might have a valid point. So instead of getting mean and ugly, I just realized I need to be patient! YAY FOR LESSONS!

Dear Diary Tuesday....

Oh Crap! I can see that my week is becoming something very similar to last week....spending every single day with my folks again! I stopped by the house last night and ended up ordering seeds for my Daddy's greenhouse for two hours. My Mom has already called this morning about a meeting we have at 4:00 this afternoon, and oh by the way, I need to go to the store after that!!! I am sure she will have something planned for Wednesday and Thursday but Friday is all MINE! I am getting my boobies smooshed ALL BY MYSELF!!! No folks allowed!! And I am thinking that Saturday might be a good day for Dylan and I to get some movies, some kind of healthy snacks and HIBERNATE. Maybe I am whining too much about this but OH MY HELL! I know my folks love me, and I love them, but do I need to hang out with them EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Oh, I did have some exciting news. Yesterday while I was at my folks house I was playing on the porch with the "ferral" kittens and I managed to pick up Specks, put him on my lap, pet him for about 30 seconds, set him down, and he was fine! I have now gotten them to the point where they play on the porch with me, let me pet them for a little bit and now I have moved to the next step!! YAY!!!! My Daddy was so excited about me picking up Speck that he had a grin from ear to ear! Now I have to work really hard on getting Boots to let me do that.

And wasn't last night fun with the shooting at Trolley Square?! All I could think of was getting in contact with Jeff, for fear he was at a screening at Trolley. Thankfully Dylan and I found him and he was fine....all snuggled up at home!

Dear Diary Monday...

Oh my GAWD! What a fun weekend!!

Friday, I called in "sick" to work and stayed home and Dylan and I spent the entire day scrubbing down our house. It was a disgusting place to live and now it is all shiny and purdy! Then we went to dinner with my folks and they took us to buy our Christmas present....a brand new computer, printer, and monitor....YAY!! We have not set it up as of yet.

Saturday, Dylan and I did MASSIVE grocery shopping....all freakin' day long! We got all the cat and dog food and then all of our food. We also had our weight in on Friday morning and Dylan is down another 2.8lbs and I am down 2.6 lbs! YAY! But the very best part of the day was meeting up with everyone at the Grille from Impanema and having a fantastic time. Chet and Shane then invited us back to their home were we sat around and giggled, talked, and just shared the energy. I can honestly say it has been a long time since I have had that much fun and I have absolutely the best friends in the world!!!

Sunday I did NOTHING! I went to the store in the morning to pick up a few things we had missed, then I just chilled the rest of the day. I needed a day to get myself head back on track and my energy back in line. It was grand. We then had a visit from Dylan's mother to notify us that Dylan's great-grandmother has been hospitalized and has now been moved to a hospice. I am sure she will be around for a long time but we need to make ourselves available to the family, along with visiting his grandmother in the hospice. Dylan is being a really good sport about this.
