Dear Diary Wednesday...

Mood...couldn't be better!

Oh, the weekend was fun!! I spent all day Saturday building a HUGE planter for my parent's front yard...and forgetting to put on the sunscreen I had purchased THE NIGHT BEFORE. Needless to say, I was a crispy fry. Then after that we went over to Chet and Shane's to celebrate their anniversary and had a wonderful, wonderful time. Again, I have never seen a home and yard as absolutely beautiful as what my two boys have created. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Sunday I just hung around the house and relaxed and finished the laundry....was not ver exciting at all. By the end of the evening, I was starting to feel my sunburn, so I started to take some preventative measures.....which did not help.

Monday, the sunburn was at it's worst and I ended up missing work. My arms were all swollen and I could not lift them without them feeling like they would burst open. I called the doctor late that afternoon and was pretty much told "tough shit" since there is not much you can do for a sunburn other than put on lidocaine and take ibuprofen, which is what I had been doing. By yesterday, I was still in excrutiating pain, but I made it work and was extremely productive. Then we headed to my mom's final doctor's appointment.....

Surgery for her is going to be scheduled for June 16th at LDS hospital. The entire surgery will only be a maximum of 2 hours, then she goes right into ICU for two days, then to her normal room. The doctor expects her not to be in the hospital longer than 5-7 days and then her recooperation time is 5-6 weeks. After 6 weeks she is released to do whatever she wants. She is not finally relaxing and not as nervous and all of her pre-tests came back perfect.....better than expected for her age. In fact her cardio stress test shows she has the heart of a 45-50 year old, which thrilled me.

This weekend is shaping up nicely. I took Friday off so I will have a four day weekend. Dylan has also taken off all of the weekend so we can spend some time together before my time is completely taken up with my mom. I know we are going to do some cleaning, some running around, going to see a couple of movies, renting some movies, and just spending a great deal of time together. Of course I will be spending one entire day with the folks visiting the cemetary....probably Sunday.
