Dear Diary Thursday...

Mood....good.

What a long week already! Let me catch up....

Monday I had an eye appointment that I had to reschedule. I rushed home from work to find my dad totally stoned out of his mind, his lips blue, and his hands blue. Mom and I loaded him into the car and headed to the ER. Four hours later we find out that he no longer has bronchitis but now has A-typical pneumonia in both lungs and has been ingesting his cough syrup with codeine like it was liquid candy. Exaggerating you think? From 8:00 am until 1:00 pm when I got home he had taken 5 large capfuls of the stuff when he is only suppose to be taking 1 teaspoon every 6 hours! Needless to say when I found out I threw a royal hissy fit in the ER and let my Dad have it in the most extreme details!!! I got him home, ran my mom over to fill his new prescriptions, get some grocery shopping done, and then get them dinner...finally stumbling into the house late and very tired.

Tuesday was a boring day.....thank goodness. I can't honestly even remember what occurred, which is a good thing. Oh, wait...it is coming to me....A VERY LONG DAY AT WORK! I was there at 5:30 am and left at 4:00 pm after a horribly long meeting. I then came home and tried to process some claims at home...no luck.

Today I took the day off to take my dad to his follow up appointment to a new doctor and then my mom and I scrubbed all the carpets in her house and most of the carpets in mine. After I finished that I have been trying to process claims....not very well either. It has taken me 4 hours to get 15 completed....no lie. I have decided that I am probably not going to be a good cottage processor and will be giving it up. The good news is that it looks like the night person at Dylan's work DOES want to switch him shifts so he will probably be working graveyards soon which is a good increase in his pay. This will only be temporary, but the extra income will be nice.

Tomorrow is my last day at work this week, and I know it will be insanely busy. I plan on making sure I do not leave for the day with ANYTHING on my desk, as I want a wonderful weekend.

Oh and speaking of weekend....part of my three day weekend will be spent with a repairman coming out to look at the brand new fridge that Dylan's parents bought us. Yep, it's broken. The light works, it just does not get cold and the freezer doesn't freeze. Thankfully all we had in it was frozen lunches, so not a major loss in money. It just pisses me off when stuff happens like that!!!!

Needless to say, with everything that has been going on this week, I have not been good about going to the gym. I have gone a total of ONCE this week....not a lot to be proud of. Hopefully when things settle down next week, I will be getting back on track.

Dear Diary Monday...

Mood....awesome.

Yesterday was not as quiet and low key as I expected it to be. I ended up doing some laundry, making some Weight Watcher cookies, cleaning up my book case and pulling out books I have no desire to keep, and making dinner for Dylan and I. I did have a chance after dinner to relax and read my new book and then take a hot bath. Even thought it was a productive day it was still very relaxing.

Today I woke up with my headache still in place but I am dealing with it better. I am sure it is the way I am sleeping so until I figure out how to fix that, I am going to have a headache. I also woke up in a very positive mood and looking forward to a week full of chores. As odd as that sounds, when my week is planned out, I love it.

One thing I am doing is taking some time off to clean carpets with my Mom. I also have Friday off and Dylan and I are planning a weekend where we can relax and just have some fun. Beyond that, I am planning my normal activities of going to the gym, getting some more cleaning done around the house, and shopping. Oh, and my dad and I are starting to purchase seeds out of our Grower Catalogues so we can get the greenhouse up and going! I am already starting to feel Spring in the air and so planting excites me!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!

Dear Diary Sunday...

Mood....just waking up, I'll let you know later....

Had a fun evening last night for Jeremy's birthday. We all went to Famous Dave's, which I don't like that place but it was fun hanging out with everybody other than that the massive headache that I had. After dinner we went to Jer and Michelle's and sat around and talked and played with their adorable puppy, Zoey. It was good to be with everyone, other than again, the massive headache AND the lack of desire to be social.

During the day yesterday I got up and went to my Weight Watcher's meeting. It has been one full year since I joined and I am still loving it. After the meeting, I stopped by my folks house and ended up taking my Daddy to the after hours emergency clinic that I LOVE. He has been sick since Christmas and I think he and my mom were just plain tired of it. After visiting with the doctor, running a whole series of tests, breathing treatments, AND x-rays, he has pneumonia AND bronchitis. Not too shocking, totally expected. The part that totally pisses me off is the fact that we go through this EVERY year and his quack of a doctor, no matter how loudly I complain, NEVER does the x-rays, never does the tests....NOTHING. So, three hours later and four prescriptions, I brought him home and headed home to help Dylan with the cleaning of the house, which he had basically finished before I had even started.

Today is going to be a relaxing day. I was going to clean carpets but my mom has decided it would probably be best if we don't put a lot of humidity into their home with my dad's bad lungs right now, which I tend to agree. So, I am going to take a day off this week and we will clean carpets then. Therefore, it leaves an open day for me and I am not sure what I am going to do with it all. Michelle and Jer are having some relatives over that DO building for a living so I told her to call me if they need extra hands, as I don't want to be in the way....you know the old saying of "too many cooks" and I think that is what it would be. I am hoping sometime today I am going to be able to log on to our server at work and start working.....but you have to wait for things to happen. Guess today I will work on my patience.....
