Dear Diary Friday....
I could not believe it. I got home and Dylan is almost completely over his cold! No more stuffy sounding voice, or the red rimmed eyes of sickness....almost completely better! Yeah!!!
Last night we went to the brand-new Wing Coop that just opened on Redwood Road and grabbed us some dinner-to-go and then headed home to watch UFC and had a great evening just relaxing, hanging out together, and watching t.v. First time in a very long time that we could just RELAX and truly enjoy each other's company without me thinking of all the things I should be doing!!
Weekend is looking good. I am getting my hair done after work today. Tomorrow and Sunday Dylan and I are going to do some shopping, some window shopping, maybe the zoo...who knows. We are just wanting to really have fun since it has been a couple of weeks since we could "play". And the weather looks to be pretty good for us!!
Happy Weekend everyone!!
Oh, the bad voices....

Dear Diary Thursday....
Dylan is now sick. He is fighting like a gladiator to get rid of this cold so it does not disrupt his weekend, and I purchased all of the cold medicine, orange juice, Puff's Plus, and vitamin C I could find for him, but he might be down this weekend....poor kid.
I also spent the evening taking my Mom to do her grocery shopping, which is always an experience. We went to the bank first, then to Petsmart where I ended up spending a LOT more than I expected, then to Wal-Mart where the clerk could NOT make the check machine work and finally, FINALLY ended up calling a manager after about 30 minutes of trying. Thankfully she was pretty funny and had a good attitude so the incident was not irritating to either my Mom, Myself, or the lady behind us in line.
Oh, and here is part two to my rant yesterday: I have heard a few news people, as well as average citizens, trying to lay blame for the kidnapping/death on the family. Uh, excuse me? The child was 7 years old. I don't have kids but I remember being 7, getting in fights with my siblings and storming off....just LIKE SHE DID. The family started looking for her within 45 mintues of her disappearing...which apparently by that time she was already DEAD. So exactly how is it the FAMILIES FUCKING FAULT SHE WAS KILLED? How about laying blame where it should be....on the person that KILLED HER! How about having a little bit of empathy, maybe a bit of heart and realize that this family is going through enough. They came to this country looking for a better life and what they get is a murdered child...the only girl in the family. No one, absoultely NO ONE is at fault for this child's death other than the malicious piece of shit that took her life. Keep in mind, children go to people's houses all the time to play....every single day millions of them are in homes that are not their own. And guess what? Many times a 7 year old does not remember to TELL THEIR FAMILY WHERE THEY ARE GOING...especially if they are upset! I don't understand why anyone would want to lay blame on a family in this situation. I guess you have to go through having a family member abducted to understand....

Dear Diary Wednesday...
Oh what a week so far! I called in sick on Monday because my head was pounding AND my back is still hurting. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Dylan also hurt his neck REALLY bad on Friday so I had spent most of the weekend taking care of him. Needless to say, staying home Monday was a good idea, even though I didn't rest as much as I should have. And this weekend is going to be another busy weekend. I have a hair cut scheduled on Friday, getting my car fixed (new motor in front seat and a new stereo) on Saturday and Dylan and I have a TON of shopping we need to do. I am also hoping to maybe do a LITTLE relaxing.
On another issue, Dylan and I have started a new "diet" which is the low carb/high protein diet. I am not totally ON BOARD because I know of the physical issues that can come with this and I am eating some carbs (trying to stay below 20 a day) but the good news is that we are only doing this until our trip. And THANK GOD because I am really, really tired of meat....REALLY TIRED of meat.
And may the God and Goddess bless the family of that little 7 year old girl that was abducted and murdered yesterday. What a sad story, especially when you realize that the child had been missing for almost 20 hours BEFORE they decided to use the Amber Alert system. All that is needed to say is that if the child had been Caucasian, I am sure the Amber Alert would have been used MUCH quicker. Remember Elizabeth Smart???? The same day that Elizabeth Smart was abducted, there was an African American child abducted....do you remember any Amber Alert on that child? Do you remember seeing flyers, news coverage, ANYTHING about that child....nope? Me either. Normally I am not on the "discrimination boat" but this one seems to be pretty obvious.
