Dear Diary Saturday...

I AM A GREAT AUNT! I have a new niece....Trinity Lilliana Christiansen was born this morning at 8:33 am. She is 7 pounds and 8 ounces, 20 inches long, curly, soft brown hair and both the mom and the baby are doing wonderful.....no pain and no vomitting! My niece, Lara, called me right after the baby was delivered to give the good news and I could do nothing but cry because of how happy and how relieved I am. Here is the funny part...the baby was delivered C section and they keep you in the hospital for three days. Well, Corrine's doctor is so wonderful that he took 45 minutes to stitch my niece back up to the point that she will have NO scar...yes, I will say it again, NO SCAR! Not only did she have no pain with the delivery, but she will have no tell tale sign of having the baby! He is wonderful. AND my niece apparently has not been thinking clearly because she took NO toiletries to the hospital with her. SOOOOO, I am on my way to go and get her the needed girly stuff, a few other presents and head to the hospital to be with my nieces. Be prepared, I am taking many, many disposable cameras and I will be flashing you all baby pictures all of the time!

Dear Diary Thursday....

The good news is that both of my parents have a doctor's appointment today. The bad news is that means that they are still both under the weather. I don't believe they are contagious anymore, but I am not taking any chances. Again, this weekend, my house is going to get the bleach/lysol/elbow grease kind of cleaning that could make a pig pen shine.

Went to see Ministry last night with Dylan, and it was WONDERFUL! The night started with us standing in a really long line, but being very entertained by a group of religious zealots/nut balls that were holding signs about Jesus and God and I want everyone to know that as a Witch and Pagan and Rebellious Woman that I have been lumped into the same category of sinners as Sodomites and Drunkards and Child Molesters! I was amused. And what was even better is that the men all looked Amish and like a wrestler that use to wrestle with the ECW called Roadkill or, as he is also affectionatly known as "The Angry Chicken Plucker"! Add that to a bunch of punks screaming horrible obescenities at them and getting a good old fashioned chant going of "SIN SIN SIN", that, in my opinion, is how a concert should start. Then we FINALLY get inside to find out that three of the bands had dropped off the tour and ONLY Ministry would be playing and playing an extra long set! It was fantastic! They played almost every song that I love and few new ones from their latest album. AND the lead singer is looking mighty fantastic for his age. And the BEST part of the show was that I got to FINALLY see Dylan after a number of weeks! That would have been worth anything I went through!!!

Dear Diary Tuesday...

Yes, yes I know, I have not blogged in awhile...

As you probably are aware, home life has been hellacious. With my dad being sick, and not getting much better, my mom has added to the fun with having two rounds of stomach flu and now she has the same illness as my dad. Well, after losing a lot of sleep, losing a lot of time at work, and just basically running myself into the ground to where I had no more patience, I threw a hissy fit this morning. I think it did the trick! My mom actually has made appointments for her and my father to see a doctor on Thursday....and, sit down for this...SHE is driving them to the doctor!!! HURRAH!!! However, I am taking Friday off work to take my dad to our tax man and to spent some MUCH NEEDED time with Dylan.

Speaking of Dylan....guess who is the sweetest, most wonderful, most endearing, most handsome man in the entire world who treats me much better than I often deserve? Yep, that would be Dylan. The angel sent me a dozen long stemmed red roses to work today....just because he misses me. How did I ever get somebody like that and what did I do in my last life to deserve him?!!! Anyways, I know I have said it until you are sick of it, but thank you........

Work! That is a nasty word these days. I have been putting in long hours...going in really early to make up time, to get ahead of the schedule, just to keep up. And I swear, there are days, like today, that it just seems project after project after project gets dumped on my desk. Why? Because "Lorene can make things magically disappear." No lie, that was the reason given. Oh well, at least it gets done and I don't have to hear people bitching about it.

The bright spot....I got to mow and trim the lawn yesterday AND I got to plant a whole bunch of new seeds to start my garden! There is nothing like working on gardening to relax the soul. Then again, maybe I am just seeing a light at the end of the stress tunnel this week.

Oh, and if you forgot...March 27th was Dee's b-day...she was out of town being a tourist in Vegas, getting some much needed vacation time for herself. Drop her a note to wish her a happy belated birthday.

I miss you too, Dylan......
