Dear Diary Thursday...

What a strange couple of days....! Yesterday, all hell broke loose in my job and a whole bunch of different problems came up....HUGE problems....that there was no way I would be able to resolve in one day, and one may take weeks. Couple that with having two meetings to go to means I did not get a lot accomplished. Now top that off with a family member who decided to start my morning off with calling to start a fight...which I didn't buy in to. However, between the bad phone call, all the problems, the two crappy meetings, I did manage to control myself, didn't fly off the handle, nothing. The drugs are working! WOOHHOOOO!!!!

Tomorrow is my shopping extravaganza day with my folks and I am actually looking forward to it. They are both needing to get out of the house and I am hoping we can get their shopping done. Then, Dylan and I are going to a concert tomorrow night. I am hoping to spend Saturday putting up my folks Christmas decorations and then Saturday night, hopefully Dylan and I will put our tree together. Not sure yet about Sunday, but probably doing Christmas shopping. Oh, and I need to start wrapping!!

Happy Thursday to everyone!

Dear Diary Wednesday...

Well, we did it! We went and re-signed up for Weight Watchers and both Dylan and I are very excited to travel this path again. This time, we BOTH have the motivation, not just Dylan.

After that, we came home to have some dinner and Dylan's Mom showed up with the most beautiful basket of goodies....all HEALTHY goodies to start our Christmas season off. It had organic soup, organic juice, organic chocolate, special water, etc etc etc. Everything was ORGANIC and we are both looking forward to trying some of the goodies.

We then settled in to watch some TiVo, eat some dinner, and then he went to get our vegetables ready for the week, and I headed to the bubble bath and to bed. Not getting a good amount of sleep the night before kicked my ass and I slept the whole night through again. It was wonderful!

And how about this for putting energy out there and getting it back. Out of the clear blue sky, an old friend of mine from one of my first jobs sends me an E-MAIL yesterday! She is working with a good friend of mine now and they were just talking about people that they e-mail and low and behold, I was the common denominator! It was so good to get caught up with her, chat about things that have been going on, and making me feel old because her kids are almost grown up now.

And also, how about this for odd.....I sent an e-mail to somebody yesterday just so that they know they are in my thoughts and I appreciate them for being the wonderful person they are....and at the same time they are sending me an e-mail to say the same thing. I love those kinds of things.

Happy Wednesday everyone....we only have two more days we need to get up early!!!

Dear Diary Tuesday...

I came home last night to Dylan having decorated the whole house for Christmas....it was BEAUTIFUL! The only thing he did not manage to finish was the tree, so we are going to do that tonight.

After work yesterday, I took my Mom to do her grocery shopping and spent a few minutes with them. My Daddy is so miserable right now because this cold weather just makes his neck ache and ache and ache....and there is nothing I can do about it. I warmed up a bag for him to put around his neck, we gave him some Tylenol before we left, but that is about the extent of it. I think we will be looking into some options of pain management for his neck after the beginning of the year....he is just to miserable for words.

Tonight we are going to WW and then decorating, and at the same time cleaning out a shed....at least that is what I am hoping will happen. But since my insomnia kicked in really hard last night, I might need to go to bed early. Then again, the insomnia might kick in again tonight and I will be full of obnoxious energy again! Win-win either way.

Since I have been working on my Christmas cards, I have had the opportunity to touch base with some long time pals and it has been GREAT connecting with them again. I love hearing stories of how their kids are getting so big, they built a home, and just how they are doing. I think I am falling in love with this time of year all over again...like I use to love it when I was a kid. It's funny what just a quick "Hello" from a friend can do to brighten your day and week.

Happy Tuesday everyone!!!

Dear Diary Monday...

To start off with...HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB!!!!!

The weekend was a good one!

Friday, I got my hair cut and colored...put some blond back into it and I am very pleased with it. AND, I found the next hairstyle I am going to do, which will take me growing my hair out a bit, but I am excited. After that, I went home and did some stuff around the house and went to bed.

Saturday, got up at 6:30 and shoveled my driveway and walkways, then headed over to my parent's house and took care of their driveway and walkway. Dylan then made it home and it was snowing so bad we decided to bag going to WW and he went to bed. I waited a few more hours and then headed over to my folks house and got the snowblower and did it all over again, this time including the widow that lives between my Mom and me. Dylan got up and we headed out to dinner, but I had such a horrible migraine that we ended up coming home a bit early.

Sunday I got up and hurt so bad from slipping on ice the day before that I seriously considered having Dylan take me to the ER! Gawd, it sucks getting old! We went to breakfast and then started Christmas shopping. In the midst of the Christmas shopping, we went to Petco where I fell in love with a very small, baby hamster....her name is Sooty.....because she is a dark gray, almost black. We put her in her take-home carrier, headed home, and decided to stop at Barnes and Nobles for one more gift. I put the carrier in the back seat, in Dylan's travel bag, we ran into the store, got the gift, and came back out....the whole time I have this horrible sinking feeling. We get to the car, and I decide to open up the back door to check on Sooty. And there she is....on the floorboard of the back seat, staring up at me, waving at me! She then took off under the seat. It was a FIASCO! All I could think of was, "How embaressing will this be if I have to take the Vue into Saturn and ask them to please dismantle the backseats so I can get my HAMSTER!" She then took off running to the other seat, and so I went around the car, waited patiently until she came down a bit then GRABBED HER. She was squealing and screaming and very upset, but TOO FUCKING BAD! We then got her home, into her new cage with all the new cool things we bought her, and she was happy.

Dylan's folks came over for a little bit last night and we visited for awhile. They are going out of town for Christmas this year so we are trying to decide when to actually "celebrate" with them....looks like the 23rd. SOOO, what this means is I really need to get my shit in gear and start wrapping and stuff...and make sure I am COMPLETELY done with shopping, decorating, and wrapping BEFORE the 23rd. No problem, I can do it!

Happy Monday to everyone!!!!
