Dear Diary Thursday...

The last day of my work week is today...YAY! I took tomorrow off in celebration of my birthday, along with next Friday, and I am glad I had the foresight to take these two Fridays off....I am really needing them. This has been a very long week so far, with a lot of training of me, me training other people, and just the normal B.S. that goes on around this place.

My bros first day on the job was a good one. He got introduced to everyone, met up with a friend of his from a long, long time ago, him and the boss are becoming fast friends and his direct supervisor, a WOMAN, almost started to cry on him TWICE yesterday because she is sooooo overwhelmed in her day to day activities that she is so happy to have a person who does not need to be really trained AND he told her that he viewed his job right now is getting her caught up, current on her paperwork, and taking over the day to day labor so she can stay caught up on her paperwork so she can take off a special day in August that she has been trying to take off for NINE YEARS and hasn't been able too. And then I found out this his big boss was a gentleman that I worked with years ago and who I took out to lunch a couple of times! I have a good feeling that my brother has finally found his "home" and a place that he can truly spread his wings and fly.

I actually had a 1/2 day off today, but it doesn't look like that is actually going to happen, and I am okay with that. I am getting my nails done this afternoon, anyways, and I get them done at the salon that is in our main lobby, so if I work a full day....so be it. However, I am planning on calling my nail girl to see if she can move me up a little on her calendar today!

Dear Diary Wednesday....

Yep, being evacuated from a 26 story building because a dumb ass has a hissy fit in the lobby was FUN! I was actually just starting to clean my desk up to go home, THRILLED because I was actually going to get out of here on time when somebody's cell phone started going off. Well, it just wouldn't shut up and then we all realized it was a really weird sounding alarm. Well, we were all kinda busy doing stuff when our boss comes around and started yelling "THIS IS NOT A DRILL! LOG OFF YOUR PHONES RIGHT NOW AND GO DOWN THROUGH STAIRWELL A AND MEET AT THE NORTH SIDE" and so we were all off! I made sure all of my co-workers on my side of the building were heading out and we all walked over to the Carls Jr to boil in the sun for almost two hours. Toni kept me entertained by talking to me on the phone. I finally decided I was "done" and walked around the block, got into the parking garage, got my car and took a co-worker home. Mr. Policeman was not happy when he saw me sneaking in, but I think my look of "Dude, I am tired, I am roasting and I am not LEAVING MY FUCKING CAR" made him realize I was not being stopped. So, again, yesterday was a really long fucking day!!!

Dear Diary Tuesday....

Yesterday was a long, long day. I came in at my normal 5:30 and I left last night at 4:30. I spent all day training on my new account and then at 3:30 I went to get my normal duties caught up and finally left. So, with Dylan working OT this week, we got to see each other for about 30 minutes before he started getting ready to go into work. Normally this would make me sad but I came home with a horrible headache, so I was just wanting to take a hot bubble bath and go to bed anyways. After the bubble bath, I warmed up my heating pad, propped it on my neck and watched tv in the bedroom until I couldn't stand it anymore. That I just sat in bed, in the dark, until the headache started to go away enough for me to go to sleep. My head is still a bit sore today, as well as my neck, but as long as I don't have the headache, I really don't care!

We are making tentative plans to hang with Toni and Rob on Saturday and see "The Transformers" which Toni and Rob loved! But let me tell you how funny I find that since when Toni and I first discussed going to see it, she was totally against seeing it! Then she finally found out that they are ALIENS and was all over seeing the movie. Honestly, everyone I know loves this movie so I am excited to see it. Plus, it is my birthday weekend, so everything will be fun this weekend!

Dear Diary Sunday...

Holy shit! So much has happened, it is time to catch up!

Thursday I was notified (not asked) that I would be losing all of my clients and I would now be the new CSC for the largest, and most watched, client that my company has. This client is our oldest, has had the absolute most problems, and has every product that my company has, including products that are not even in my division. All areas are involved in this client (Product Support, IT, upper management, upper-upper managment, etc) and so it made me very nervous. However, I at least know that I am going into manage this client with some of the knowledge of having done my job, not like I am just coming into a new job and learning everything from the ground up. However, I am taking this client over fully as of the 23rd, so not much time for training. I trained some on Friday and will be spending every day this week training, minus the time that I need to contact some of my existing clients to let them know I am no longer their CSC.

Speaking of jobs...my brother was offered a fantastic job and starts on Wednesday! YAY! It happens to be with a company that I use to work with back in the day when I worked at Nesco....a company I really enjoyed working with. I called them last week, got their fax number, and just decided to fax his resume' over. The very next morning, they called my brother to schedule an interview, because as luck would have it, one of their warehouse supervisors had QUIT that morning. So, Terry went in, talked with the interviewer and come to find out, because Terry had sent in his resume' and this job had just opened, they decided to have Terry meet with the owner of the company and not even post the job in the newspaper. So, Terry went back on Friday afternoon and they OFFERED HIM THE JOB. He will train for 90 days and then after that, they will be moving him into a supervisory position! I am so excited for him and he is sooooo excited to be starting something new. My biggest hope is that maybe with him going into a managment position, he won't have to spend his final years of working before retirement doing extremely heavy labor.

And much love out to Toni and Rob right now.
