Dear Diary Friday...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANE! May you have another year of wonderful surprises, much love, and all the happiness in the universe!!

We started the birthday celebrations off a little early last night over at Shane's house. Dylan and I picked him up a card, some of his favorite eclairs from Schmidts' and headed over to see their beautiful new backyard. And "beautiful" is truly an understatment of what Shane and Chet have accomplished with their surroundings....it is breath-taking!! Shane had then made us a wonderful dinner and we spent the evening relaxing with them and the Netzlers. And I am now paying for it this morning after going through a couple of bottles of wine and this wickedly wonderful "lemonade" that Shane made and we finished of a pitcher of. I am too old for this kind of fun anymore!!

Dylan is spending today and tomorrow with Jeff. Today they are disc golfing and then tomorrow is the Bad Manners show. I am hoping to have a quiet and subdued weekend, but we will see what happens.

Dear Diary Tuesday...

YAY for having tomorrow off! Oh, and an early HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY TO EVERYONE!

I am not sure why, but I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I think it might have something to do with the fact that my brother has been out of work (BY CHOICE) since March, and yesterday HE WENT FISHING! Yep, instead of being out, looking for a job, he went fishing. I think that pisses me off the most is that I spent most of the last three weekends, on the one day I have to myself, filling out applications on line for him and then coming in to work and faxing his resume to other people. On Sunday, I filled out at least 8 applications on line (and I hate doing those), e-mailed his resume to at least 10 potential employers, filled out info for www.monsters.com and sent his resume to about 10 on that website and then came in yesterday morning and faxed his resume to 14 other people....THEN I FIND OUT ABOUT HIM FISHING! Now, I really only have myself to be pissed off at because I am the one that made the decision to extend myself an do this for him but NO MORE. My Mom called me this morning to discuss some stuff and I asked what my brother was doing today and she proceeded to tell me this long story about how he didn't go fishing yesterday because of a whole comedy of errors. WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK! He still didn't go out looking for a job! I know my mom was not appreciative of my attitude, but at this point, I don't care. She is enabling him by having him run her all over to hell and back doing errands for her, which I guess is good because AT LEAST HE IS FUCKING DOING SOMETHING ALL FUCKING DAY LONG!

Got to work on a better attitude today.....

Dear Diary Monday...

The party at the Poor's on Friday was a lot of fun! I got home from work and Dylan and I had some running around we needed to do and then we needed over to the Poor's....and did they have a fantastic turn out! Michelle made quite the selection of Colosimo sausages, salads, drinks and dessert. We hung out with everyone and just had a really relaxing time....even when Jeremy decided it was time to break my sunglasses.

Saturday, Dylan and I spent the entire day cleaning our entire house...top to bottom. It is sooo nice to in a spotless environment again! We even took the patio furniture out on to the cement and sprayed it down, since it was a little dusty. We then went to dinner but I was feel really under the weather, so we headed back home and he put me to bed. I think I over medicated myself on allergy medicine.

Sunday I spent the day doing yardwork and some projects around the house with my Daddy. Both toilet seats needed to be removed and new ones put on and Dylan's towel rack had fallen off, so I put that back together and spackled the old nail holes in the wall. Now we need to start re-doing my bathroom by taking down the wallpaper and painting, which I think we will be doing next weekend.

All in all, it was quite the productive weekend, made enjoyable by spending time with our friends!
