Dear Diary Friday....
I can not even begin to say how happy I am today is the last day of my work week!! Let's catch up....
Tuesday, we had a major HBS meeting and had our new Executive Vice President fly into Salt Lake. He seems really cool, has a great sense of humor, and was all around impressive. And then we started going through our "milestone and recognition" part of the meeting and that is where we give milestone awards for people's anniversary dates and awards for stuff. Guess what? There were three people give Service Excellence awards and one of them was ME. The really neat thing is that four different people in four different areas nominated me...the first time in Wells Fargo history! And on that note....
I notified my boss yesterday that I will be updating my resume' and applying for other area's in Wells Fargo. We had a team meeting yesterday and were notified that we are no longer able to speak to other teams on our floor as we are "interrupting their ability to do their job." Funny thing....this other team is our RESEARCH TEAM and we can't talk to them??? However, they are allowed to come over to our area and talk to us. And what is even more unbelievable....if we DO need to speak to someone on that team, we need to be ESCORTED by one or our managment team members. Last time I checked, I was not in grade school. Last time I checked, we were all suppose to act as ONE TEAM. Guess it is time to find a place where I can be treated as an adult. Hopefully that place will be within Wells Fargo, as I do love working for this company. I just don't like working for this division.
Oh, the bad voices....

Dear Diary Tuesday...
I got my blood work back and now I need to go and see a specialist. My triglycerides are high and after speaking with my nurse friend here at work, it apparently is an indicator of diabetes.....and I can't tell you how excited I am about that. I went on line and did a lot of research and there are quite a few things I now have to remove, or at least cut down by a lot, from my diet. No more sugars, no more caffeine, no more alcohol, no more red meat, no more carbohydrates....and I am very, very sad. Dylan is being so supportive of this, which is good because an extra set of eyes watching what goes in my mouth is always appreciated. AND, trying to look at the positive side, it will definetly help me kick my ass into gear about Weight Watchers!!!
