Dear Diary Saturday...
If it was at all possible, yesterday was more fun than I could have expected! We went to see "28 Days Later", which was very entertaining, scary, and very unnerving in certain places. Definatly a movie I will be buying when it comes out on DVD.
We then went up to Copperton and saw the WORST accident I have seen in a long time, turned around and headed up to my two favorite stores...Restoration Hardware and Williams and Sonoma at the Trolley Square. We then decided to have an early dinner/late lunch at Red Lobster and then headed to Wheeler Farm where we walked around, talked to the animals, and just enjoyed having the whole place almost completely to ourselves. We then went looking at some wonderful houses, finding MANY that we both wanted and the lots were not too small, but still small. We then decided to go grab some movies and head back to Dylan's house for some relaxation in the cool.
The whole day and evening was relaxing, entertaining, and just filled with two people who love each other more each day connecting. There is nothing I need more, after a really stressful week, then to be energized again just by being in the company of people that I love, friends and family.
Oh......the countdown is almost over for Shane turning 30........
Oh, the bad voices....

Dear Diary Friday...
Happy 4th of July to everyone! Enjoy your day and stay safe!
The surgery for my Daddy went really well. They repaired the ruptured hernia and then put everything back into it's place. They cleaned the cyst and removed anything that looked "cyst-like". The doctor feels really good that nothing that they saw would be of any concern and there should be no futher problems. We were at the surgery center by 7:00 am and home by 10:00. I fed him breakfast and put him in his chair with a Lortab and he slept most of the afternoon. He experienced some pain in the afternoon, but I fed him a large late lunch, gave him another Lortab, put an ice pack on his boo-boo and he slept more. By this morning, he is up and about and you would never know he had surgery. He said that the ice pack took ALL of the swelling down and he has no pain today. Thanking the Goddess for all of her blessings on this one!!!
Today is shaping up to be great. I am spending every moment of this day with Dylan and we have tons of fun stuff planned. We are seeing a movie, window shopping, eating, and just being together.

Dear Diary Wednesday...
Current news.....my dad is going in for emergency surgery tomorrow. He has a ruptured hernia and a very large cyst on his prostate. It is going to be outpatient surgery and the outlook is very good. Unfortunately, in finding out about this, it also finally came out how much pain my Daddy has been enduring...and very needlessly.
Work has been aggravating. I am the only researcher this week and I was not planning on being gone on Thursday. Fortunately, my acting supervisor has been in my shoes with her own father, so she gave me the time off without so much as a blink. And my co-workers, all but two, have completely stepped up and taken on the responsibilities for tomorrow. That is why, for the most part, I love working where I do.
I will keep you updated....
Oh, and don't forget that a certain beautiful blond hair blue boy honey-bear named Shane is turning 30 this weekend......
