Dear Diary Monday...

I hope that everyone had a fantastic Father's Day!

Last Friday, I got home and Dylan and I had to go shopping for our Father's Day gifts and ended up spending more on Dylan than anyone else....which was okay because he is worth it. We then managed to get in our grocery shopping so that would be off my mind.

Saturday, my niece got married. Now, I am not close to this niece, in fact in the entire 20 years she has been alive, I probably have only spoke to her about a dozen times. She was not a pretty girl growing up AT ALL, but she was the most beautiful and stunning bride I have ever seen. She has really grown into quite a beautiful young lady. Prior to that, I spent the entire day doing some major yardwork, both at my house and at my folks house. Unfortunately, it was way too hot for my Daddy and he ended up getting very, very sick. So, he was not very comfortable at the wedding so we did not stay long. However, it was great seeing almost all of my big brothers in one place!

Sunday, we went over to my Daddy's for Father's Day and gave him his two gifts....a g.c. to Home Depot and new headphones so he can hear the t.v.....which he LOVED! Then Dylan and I did a whole bunch of running around....something we have not done in a long time. We hit Hinkley Dodge to look at Jeeps, went to Whole Foods, went to Tai Pan, but they are closed on Sundays, hit Smith's Marketplace, then Fashion Place Mall, then Ken Garff, and then finally we went home for dinner and relaxing. It was just nice to be out and about with nothing obligating us.

This weekend is going to be a different story. We have several house-related projects we are going to try and get done on Saturday and Sunday. Top that off with a grand opening of a new rescue we will be attending, as well as possibly purchasing Dylan a new car. However, knowing it will be spent with my man will make it a lot of fun!
