Dear Diary Friday....

To start, Toni would like to be a Buddhist Monk and I have decided to be a Pastor in the Manson Cult. That will only be for today and tomorrow we will change to a different sect/religion/cult as the whim and air current takes us. FYI....

The week has been crazy-ass busy. It is ending (I HOPE) on a good note at work. The day started off with me coming in with my new hair which is a deep, rich, chocolate cherry brown and everyone seems to like it. It is a very big step I took in getting completely away from any type of blonde, which I have been for 37 years of my life, to the "dark side". I love it and will probably stay this color for awhile. Then I managed to get completely caught up with all of my work, which was a feat of it's own since I had two separate faxes that were both over 200 pages a piece to get out this morning. Now I am winding down, counting the hours until I can leave. I am not a 100% sure of what I will be doing this afternoon, but I think I will probably be getting the house decorated.

Speaking of decorations, my parent's house is ADORABLE! My Daddy decorated the front yard with cornstalks, bales of hay, and Halloween lights. My Mama and Daddy then made this really cute ghosts to decorate their yard and my yard! A little bit of the Spirit is starting to seep into my bones!

Dear Diary Monday, part two...

I got this today from my sister and loved it.....

MAYA ANGELOU'S'
BEST POEM EVER

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
enough money within her control to move out
and rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
something perfect to wear if the employer,
or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ..
a youth she's content to leave behind....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to
retelling it in her old age....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE .....
a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
one friend who always makes her laugh... and one who lets her cry...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ....
a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems,
and a recipe for a meal,
that will make her guests feel honored...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ...
a feeling of control over her destiny...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to fall in love without losing herself..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to quit a job,
break up with a lover,
and confront a friend without;
ruining the friendship.. ..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
when to try harder... and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that she can't change the length of her calves,
the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
that her childhood may not have been perfect..but it's over...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW..
whom she can trust,
whom she can't,
and why she shouldn't take it personally.. ..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
where to go...
be it to her best friend's kitchen table...
or a charming inn in the woods...
when her soul needs soothing....

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW...
what she can and can't accomplish in a day...
a month...and a year...

Dear Diary Monday...

I left work for a half day on Friday and headed home to get the yard "winterized". I mowed and trimmed the lawn, then I got all the hoses drained and put away and then Dylan helped me with getting the lawn furniture put away. While I was doing all of this, Dylan was cleaning the entire house. Oh, and then my Daddy came over and we got some bulbs planted and iris transplanted from his house to my house. It was a long and exhausting day, but it was completed. After all of that, then my Daddy and I put fertilizer on my lawn and his lawn....and then we collapsed for the evening.

Saturday, Dylan and I were struggling to get moving that morning but when we finally did get going, we went shopping for the entire day and didn't make it home until late. Dylan had to get ready for work, so we just relaxed until he left. I then headed off to bed....only to sleep until 2:00 am and then I was up and awake. Don't know what the hell happened there!

Sunday I wanted a relaxing day so I just put on my lounge wear and relaxed....did a couple of loads of laundry and made beef stew, but pretty much just spent the day on the couch, watching t.v. It was nice.....

This week is going to be a bit busy. Today I am taking the folks to get their flu shots and to do some shopping. Dylan's folks are also out of town, so we are taking care of their house and the cats. I am going to try and keep my parent's entertained this week and take them wherever they need to go because they are feeling "neglected" and probably need some time out of the house. Plus, I want to spend my weekend with Dylan doing some fun things. He is trying to get this Saturday off so we can spend some quality time together. Oh, and there are a couple of movies coming out that I want to see too!
