Dear Diary Monday....
Mood....great but boy! am I sore.....
It has been an eventful weekend! Dylan and I decided to open our home and hearts AGAIN to another dog. We went Friday to the Humane Society and Dylan fell head over heels for a chocolate Weimaraner. Well, we left and did not get here. Saturday I spent the entire day doing yardwork with my dad. After that was finished, Dylan and I went BACK to the Humane Society and came home with the dog. To say that she is "large" is a very true understatement. If you have seen our Helga Joe, add a WHOLE bunch more inches to her and you get our new dog. The new dog was named "Genius" but that honestly does not fit so we changed it to Jimbo. He is a beautiful chocolate color, two years old, strong as an ox, stubborn as a mule, and dumb as boy. He will make a great addition to the "farm" as Jeremy has so lovingly coined our home. Unfortunately, the addition of the new baby was not a stress-free one.
We brought Jimbo home and intially introduced her to Helga in our backyard. Everything went really well and Jimbo has fallen in love with Helga and Helga finds this incredibly dumb dog to be very entertaining. Then we decided to bring the dog in the house. Being that this dog is ALL limbs, he came bounding in and our cats Al and Duff decided to committ murder. I saw the intent look in their eyes and stepped in front of them right as they attacked.....taking the full brunt of their force. They buried their claws AND their teeth into my knee cap. I managed to get them off of me and save the dog and then got things calmed down and went to check on my wounds. They had managed, with their strength and hatred, to go right through my levi's to get to my flesh and I have a HUGE wound on my knee that throbs at every opportunity. Today it is much better, but much more ugly. I will live and after a couple of more days, the dogs and the cats are finally holding a truce and things have calmed.
Oh, the bad voices....
W H A T E V E R ! ! !
