Dear Diary Monday...
It is a sad start to a Monday when I am sitting at my desk and I can not stop the yawning!
I didn't end up getting out of work as early on Friday as I planned, as I stayed to make sure a client was completely taken care of....and they were. I even received some very nice compliments from high managment for doing everything possible to get this client taken care of. Nice feeling when you are recognized for going a bit above your job.
After work on Friday, Dylan and I did a whole bunch of running around and dinner. It was nice to be out and about on Friday and spending time with Dylan and REALLY getting into the holiday spirit. Saturday we got up and went to breakfast and then we did some more X-mas shopping and looking around. We didn't end up buying a lot of gifts, but we have a start on it and that is what matters.
Sunday was comical. I was doing some laundry and some things outdoors when I got a call from my folks....their sink was plugged and I needed to come over. I ran over and it was REALLY plugged. I went to Lowes to get some sulfuric acid and used that....and it didn't seem to work. I was getting really nervous because I could tell my Daddy wanted to start taking the main pipe apart....and he was already in TOO much pain. So, I poured the rest of the sulfuric acid down the pipe....and waited. All of a sudden, magic happened and the drain unplugged and has never drained better! Unfortunately, sulfuric acid smells like rotten eggs and the smell permeated the whole house! So, we left. We went and got my Daddy a new snow blower, did all of our Turkey Day shopping and then went back home.....still to a stinky house! I went home and did some more outdoor cleaning and then Dylan got us dinner. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way I managed to hurt my foot and ankle (not even sure how I did that) so I ended up in bed reading some magazines and relaxing the rest of the night. My poor parents are hopefully not in a stinky smelling house today!!!!
Oh, the bad voices....
W H A T E V E R ! ! !
